First clock movement apart

Postby Clock King » Sat Mar 13, 2021 6:36 pm

Hello everyone,
I took a part my first movement and am getting ready to clean, oil and, reassemble. I have two questions
1) the picture below - That needs to be rebushed, correct?
2) is the main spring supposed to look like this when unwound?

Might need a bushing. Best to check the hole under magnification
to see if it has worn oblong. If perfectly round then might be fine.
Mainspring looks very good!
Best, Phil
