Clock winding technique

Postby disciple_dan » Wed Sep 09, 2020 3:00 pm

I was just reading about how Geneva stops help so much with accuracy because it avoided the ends of the spring. Not too close to the inner or outer part of the wind. Should I be counting how many turns it takes a particular clock I repair to get it to run the intended amount of time? If so, that is something I would want to pass on the owner so they would have a happy clock that kept better time with less chance of damage to the spring and potentially the entire clock.
I was just thinking about that, now you are. Tell me what you think. Be blessed, disciple_dan.
Thanks, and be blessed, Danny
