What Size Bob ?

Postby Marc Hildebrant » Sun Feb 12, 2012 8:19 pm

Group,

I just got a Waterbury Clock and it's missing the Pendulum Bob.

The dial size is 12 inches. The clock has a simple calendar. It's an octagonal case and the case length from top to bottom is 23 inches. On the dial is the words "springfield".

All parts are there except for the bob. How can I find out what type of bob to buy ?

Hi Marc,
In ancient times (before the internet!) I used to look at old clock advertisements and catalogs and would try to find a picture of the clock I was working on to determine the missing pendulum or bob style. Now the first thing I do is head for google and put the clock name (Waterbury Clock) into the search field and then click on images. Works almost every time for me for popular clocks. Also suppliers like TimeSavers can often help when giving a good description or maybe passing along a pic.
Hope this helps Marc,
Bob

Bob,

I'll check out Google. Thanks for the tip.
