Can you identify this movement?

Postby Hank7421 » Sat Oct 14, 2017 4:46 pm

Hi Guys. Back on Sep. 4th I posted a question about a Wal. 16s 1872 with attached stem. So far there have been no replies. Perhaps it was overlooked. I wanted to know what type of case this movement would go in because I had never seen a movement with the stem attached and I wanted to restore it. Please take a look.

Hi Hank,
You'll find this stem config. on many movements made by various manufacturers. They were often made for private label watch companies as well as for the manufacturers lower priced watches, travel clocks or possibly special applications where a female stem is required. I don't know enough about them to direct you to the case needed for your movement though. Maybe another member has some more in-depth info for you.
