Floating balance type clocks moving

Postby sunny_birds » Sat Aug 12, 2017 2:39 pm

Hi
Can anyone tell what is the best way to transport a cock with floating balance type movement.
Would on it back be best so the balance wheel doesn't jump up and down?

Hello Robin,
I don't know if it's the correct or acceptable way to do it but I keep the clock in the vertical position so gravity keeps strike and chime levers locked in position and put a piece of folded paper under the balance to keep it from bouncing.
